Little Arjun Hit Me Straight in the Heart

Last night, I was chatting on WhatsApp with my school friend Vinay Jain. Suddenly, his son sent some recorded messages. First, I thought it was my friend with a distorted voice but later he told me that it’s his son Arjun.

The little one’s voice was so divine that it took me 30-35 years back when I started speaking fluently. He’d a sweet voice with a kind of American accent that I read in Archie Comics when I was a child. He spoke clearly, with the confidence of a friend, philosopher, and guide. At one point in time, I felt like talking to someone of the same age but more wisdom.

His voice had an innocence that dwells the Almighty, the power that can make time travel possible, the compassion that can transform a lost soul into a Buddha.

In the epic Mahabharata, it was Arjun who was the greatest warrior. It was he who ignited Lord Krishna to deliver the holy Bhagavad Gita. Without innocence, the fear, the lostness, the supreme knowledge wouldn’t have been told.

There was one Arjun, around 5,000 years back, who hit the fish-eye, straight and then there is this lad, in 2017, who hit me on the sweet spot, straight. He came as a savior of the soul in this time of madness. He came as a prophet to remind me of the sweetness, compassion in the world. He came as the divine energy to keep the child in me alive.
