In my journey of service, I come along with people who often talk about helping the unprivileged. They’ve got an idea of the unprivileged as poor people. But, what’s poor?
I’ve got a different idea of the meaning of the word. I don’t think that unprivileged has only to do with money. There’re so many people on the world, some don’t have time, some don’t have opportunities, some don’t have the physical ability, some don’t have love, some don’t have values, some don’t give good, some don’t have trust, some don’t have guts, some don’t have the vision. Someone somewhere is poor in something in life.
So, how does only the lack of money is unprivileged? I feel we all are unprivileged in some or either way. These money-rich people proclaim themselves as privileged and say that we help the unprivileged section of the society very comfortably. If I show them my truth, they’re uncomfortable because it shatters their illusion of being the privileged.
Next time, before using the word, rather abusing the word, please, please think who is privileged and who is unprivileged? The giver or the receiver?
Who’s the unprivileged, we, or them? Or all of us?
I think that is one of the such a lot significant info for me. And i’m glad studying your article. However should statement on few basic things, The website style is great, the articles is truly nice : D. Good process, cheers|
