Many people trust that happiness comes from success, health, and great human networks. However, the inverse of this belief is the statement that is the truest — success, wealth, good health, and developing relationships are by-products of happiness, not the cause.
When you’re truly happy, you’re more likely to make choices that lead to all these things.
Observe the people around you. Successful and famous people have scandalously unfortunate lives, good health can be taken for granted and even happy families can be hit down by an unexpected disaster. And yet, why do we continue to believe the mistaken notion that success, health, and relationships are all we need to make us happy?
Perhaps it’s time to shift our look beyond external factors to focus on inner happiness, that’s really what we all wish to attain.
