Most of us question multiple times throughout schooling if it’s really necessary for us to learn and re-learn all of the same concepts over and over again. I think like this as well.
The truth is, we’re never as smart as we think we are. We think we’re so knowledgeable, but there’s always someone out there who knows just a little more about a certain topic than we do.
Some people say ignorance is bliss, but is it true? Ignorance is ignorance and that’s that. What kind of life would we’ve got if everyone was ignorant? You know what else, people don’t understand the true definition of ignorance.
Ignorance is defined as lack of knowledge or information — it’s just being lazy, as per my limited knowledge.
Ignorance isn’t bliss. In fact, it’s far from it.
To know, is to know that you know nothing. That’s the meaning of true knowledge. Socrates
Ignorance isn’t bliss. In fact, it’s far from it.
It’s dangerous.
If we’d been ignorant, we wouldn’t have invented all of the stuff that we’re using today. There wouldn’t have been the internet and blogging platforms to read this blog post.
See what ignorance has done to the planet? There’re filthy crimes happening in the world in name of wrong ways to reach the true religion, in the name of money, in the name of greed, in the name of power etc.
And talking about religion, most of us don’t even know what the word means. We have a 360° distorted view of the term and we think, we know it all.
Nope, we don’t. The true meaning of religion is something different.
People haven’t even read one page of ancient scriptures and fight in the name of them. Even if they read, they don’t understand. Even if they understand, they don’t apply in daily life.
Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
Martin Luther King Jr.
Ignorance is a form of suffering.
If you think ignorance is bliss, then you’ve still not experienced the pain of being an ignorant human. It’s killing, and see the way we’re killing each other?
Shameful.
This is what ignorance has brought us. Shame, pain, suffering, agony and all of that. It’s high time to come out of our cocoon of ignorance and re-create the meaning of everything that we know.
