I’ll Persist Until I Succeed

i will persist until i succeed

The poem — by the same name as the title — by Og Mandino has become my DNA. It seems he wrote it for me only. But in fact, he wrote it to inspire all of us.

I’ll persist until I succeed.

I wasn’t delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I’m not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I’m a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I’ll hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure isn’t my destiny.

I’ll persist until I succeed.

In life, there’re multiple challenges at a different point in time but the key is to be persistent. I can share this from my own experience. After my 4-year-long sabbatical, I wanted to search for a full-time job. It was difficult but I was applying for some job every day; related to my creative field.

I have applied for 350 jobs in 1.5 years; but all in vain.

It’s really difficult to keep the hope alive every day and keep applying but if I don’t do that, I might an opportunity.

I still don’t have a full-time job but I’ve got hope and some freelance work to keep me alive. I’ve learned this valuable lesson of keep trying and trying, till you succeed.

If you’re facing challenges in life at this time, please don’t give up. Keep trying, the persistence will bear its reward at some point in time. There’s always hope, always light at the end of the tunnel, always a solution to the most complex problems in life.

Be persistent, keep trying. That’s all we can do from our side. Then, let the universe work it out for you.

I’ll persist until I succeed.

I’ll never consider defeat and I’ll remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as quit, can’t, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbable, failure, unworkable, hopeless, and retreat; for they’re the words of fools. I’ll avoid despair but if this disease of the mind should infect me then I’ll work on in despair. I’ll toil and I’ll endure. I’ll ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep my eyes on the goals above my head, for I know that where dry desert ends, green grass grows.

I’ll persist until I succeed.

We can only succeed if we’re are trying. The moment we stop trying, stop the action, we’re dead.
