I’d been on no-money walking pilgrimage and the people of this a village — in North Gujarat — hosted us for a night. The village is poverty-ridden and nothing much has been done so far. It isn’t even on the map of India. There was an urgent need to increase the income of the people.
The village mentor had a rough idea to start something on the tourism side as the village is surrounded by lush forest. I collaborated with him to create a space for eco-tourism and adventure holiday.
A beautiful space is now running in the lap of nature with lovable host families. This has tremendously supported the economic condition of the tribal villagers. Many groups visit this place on weekends, and people are loving it.
